Heavy lifting with a 75ton rotator

Toady we are doing some heavy lifting with our 75ton rotator, Big Flipper. First lift was a 52,000lb core, while the second was just over 30,000lbs. While neither of these are heavy enough to set a record, what made them tricky was the rigging and the placements. It's never easy on the truck to be close to full extension with over 50,000lbs, but Big Flipper handled it with ease. To ensure no damage to the units, I parted my lines to have a truly even lift and used my custom "Pepe's slings" made by SWOS with the help of Bailey's Towing Accessories.

The second unit took some careful custom rigging as it had no lift points and delicate lifting to get the core out of the transformer without causing any damage. Once free and in the air, we swung it around the back and landed it next to the other unit. Happy customer, happy towers, all in all a good lift!
