State Supreme Court justice reveals cancer diagnosis

North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls has cancer. In a statement released Tuesday, Earls said she underwent surgery over the holiday for breast cancer. She said her doctors caught it early, and her recovery is expected to move quickly. Earls has served on the State Supreme Court since 2019, and is currently running for re-election.
