Pop Up Camper MODS | 12 Volt Battery Disconnect Switch

This video details how install a 12 volt battery disconnect switch. Battery disconnect switches, at least on pop up campers, are a good modification for three reasons. First, if you’re doing maintenance on your electrical system, it’s a lot easy to shut off 12 volt power to your pop up camper by using a battery disconnect as opposed to disconnecting the leads to your battery. Second, while your camping, you can disconnect your battery to prevent unwanted actuation of your electric tongue jack and/or your electric roof lift. Third, and finally, while you pop up camping is in storage, you can disconnect the battery easily to prevent unwanted drain on your battery.
