Nandi hills is 70 km from Bangalore city. It comes under Chikkaballapur district. Apart from a popular weekend destination it's being a hub for bird watcher around the city. The place is full of Residencial and migratory birds along with few endemic species. Being a hill station it's weather remain pretty pleasant. It is not a place where birder want to go one time and cover all the birds. Birding grounds. trails are pretty vast and the nursery inside the Nandi hills is very rich place for binding. Apart from that there are many forest trails which remains full of surprising ground birds. so face I have gone there 3 times for birding.
