KRTV: Pat Nixon, Rogers Morton, and Perez Olindo at Yellowstone National Park
KRTV Norma Ashby footage of former First Lady Pat Nixon, former Secretary of the Interior Rogers Morton, and Perez Olindo, director of Kenya National Parks at Yellowstone National Park for the Second World Conference on National Parks and Yellowstone’s 100th Anniversary. Ashby and Mrs. Nixon discuss the First Lady’s visit to the park and the president’s reaction to her trip, the weather, how she maintains her energy and appearance, how she handled the plane ride, and her China boots. Ashby and Morton talk about the beauty of America and origin of the National Parks in the United States, as well as other country’s National Parks. Ashby and Olindo discuss the elephant situation in Kenya and Tsavo National Park, Kenya’s National Parks, and his nation’s support of Kenya’s park system. Other conference attendees mentioned include George Hartzog, Director of the National Park Service and Dr. Tsuyoshi Tamura, National Parks Association of Japan.
