“The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room” is the signature song of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room attraction at Disneyland Park. Written in 1963 by the Sherman Brothers, Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman, and performed by The Mellomen, the song was created for one of Disney’s first Audio-Animatronic attractions. Its bright melody and tropical charm made it an instant classic, and it remains a beloved part of Disney history, still heard in the attraction today.

This version is extra special. It brings together Master Tc & The Visitors with the legendary 'Jimmy Donaldson & The Minecrafts', the kings of “Industrial Doo-Wop” straight out of Cleveland, Ohio. Known for their deep, rumbling harmonies and steel-mill rhythm, The Minecrafts add a grounded, powerful energy that perfectly contrasts the colorful, tropical feel of the original. It’s a wild blend, but somehow it just works.

In this 1965-inspired version, the song is reimagined as a barbershop quartet and tropical exotica fusion. Four-part male vocal harmonies take center stage, now expanded with the rich, booming low-end presence of The Minecrafts. Bright acoustic guitar offbeats, playful marimba lines, and a walking upright bass keep things moving, while bongos and guiro lock in a light Latin groove. Whistling lines mimic bird calls, and the layered vocals, full of tight jazz chords and smooth chromatic movement, create a sound that’s both fun and impressively rich. The result feels like a mid-century tiki lounge colliding with a smoky Ohio vocal hall.

Recorded using authentic analog techniques, the performance was captured through ribbon microphones and tube-driven consoles onto magnetic tape pre–Dolby A. Warm tape hiss, natural saturation, and organic room reverb give the track its rich vintage tone. With both groups singing together, the sound becomes huge, lively, and full of character, like stepping into a 1965 session where two completely different worlds meet and make magic.
