“Easter Song” was written by Annie Herring of the group 2nd Chapter of Acts and first released in 1974 on their debut album With Footnotes. Celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the song became one of the most beloved pieces in contemporary Christian music. Known for its instantly recognizable opening, it has been widely performed in churches and included in hymnals and Easter collections, while also reaching audiences beyond Christian radio. In this 1965-inspired version, Master Tc & The Visitors reimagine “Easter Song” as a retro-modern soul-surf pop experience, blending doo-wop, psychedelic textures, and Motown groove. Warm, romantic bass-baritone lead vocals bring a classic crooner feel, supported by lush stacked harmonies and smooth call-and-response phrasing. Gentle surf-style guitar tones, a melodic bassline, and a steady groove create a flowing, uplifting atmosphere, equal parts nostalgic and expansive, with touches of funk and indie-psych color woven throughout. With Easter just passing, this one felt especially right to bring to life. It’s a reminder of hope, renewal, and something bigger than all of us.

Recorded using authentic analog techniques, the performance was captured through ribbon microphones and tube-driven consoles onto magnetic tape pre–Dolby A. Warm tape hiss, natural saturation, and organic room reverb give the track its rich, vintage character. The result feels dreamy, soulful, and timeless like a mid-’60s studio session meeting a modern wave of psychedelic soul.
