George Psalmanazar: The Man From Nowhere | Personage Non Grata

The name George Psalmanazar is not one you'll find in most history books.

You'll only find it in his own Memories, a brief reference in Jonathan Swift's a Modest Proposal, and a few other scant sources. But who was this mysterious man who emerged from nothing? A European who became the first Formosan in Europe.
