In todays Illustrator tutorial, we look at vertical business card designs, why they are useful, and also I show you some tips on how to design your very own business card design.

The actual Illustrator tutorial is in the second part of the video, the first section specifically takes a look at why a vertical style is sometimes used for a business card, as well as what size you can or should be using for your designs. Designers and clients will often elect for a horizontal business card, because it is the industry standard and the ‘norm’ - but that is also exactly what other people choose to use a vertical design; because it goes against the grain. A vertical business card can come across as unique, superior, contemporary and it’s just that much more interesting. But as we discuss in the video and the tutorial, you will need to make sure that this approach suits both he client and the niche sector that they operate in.
