Jerome Mutterer and Wei Ouyan: "Why use ImageJ in 2021?"
Co-presenters Jérôme Mutterer (Head, Microscopy and Imaging Facility, CNRS, Université de Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France) and Wei Ouyang (Postdoctoral Scientist at SciLifeLab, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden) present "Why use ImageJ in 2021?"
Abstract: With several well established and an ever growing number of free or proprietary image processing solutions, we will explore why a 25+ years old software is still widely taught and used in many contexts, despite of some limitations. Recent ImageJ updates and some of it's unique features will be discussed, including the all purpose ImageJ macro language and the newer ImageJ.JS version that runs in the browser.
