Can you squat like this while sipping your morning coffee?
I’m pretty sure the answer is no.
Most people I see can’t comfortably sit in a deep squat.
Somewhere along the way, we lost the ability to rest, move and live close to the ground.
Chairs, screens and modern habits slowly replaced movements our bodies were naturally designed for.
And the deep squat?
It’s not just a cool mobility trick or another movement skill to unlock.
It’s a foundation.
For healthy hips.For resilient knees.For a stronger, pain-free back.For moving well through life.
Humans have rested, worked, eaten, and played in this position for thousands of years.
Never tried it before? Start here:
→ Hold onto a doorframe, pole or anything stable, and lower yourself as far as feels comfortable.→ Tight ankles or shins? Elevate your heels with a book or small wedge.→ Stay for a few seconds. Breathe.→ Come back to it throughout the day.
It doesn’t have to look perfect.It just has to begin.
