To qualify for the full stimulus check you must:
-Have an adjusted gross income of under $75,000 for single filers, $112,500 for head of households, and $150,000 for joint filers. If your AGI is higher than these thresholds you will receive $5 less for every additional $100 you make.
-You must also be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien and have a SSN.

You may have encountered a technical glitch
Now there’s several different glitches that seem to have happened let’s break them down:
If you got the “payment status not available” message and not received payment it is likely one of these issues
- If you are on SSA,RRB, SSI, or VA benefits - your information is simply not yet available in the IRS system according to the IRS
- you may also get this message if you recently filed through the new IRS Non-Filers Tool.

Some tax payers have also reported that either their payment amount was wrong or missing a dependant if this is the case Within 15 days the IRS will send a letter to stimulus check recipients. On that letter, there should be information about how to contact the IRS regarding any issues with your stimulus check.

You could be one of the 21 million Americans who filed taxes through services like H&R Block and Turbo Tax and did not receive your payment. The IRS is claiming this is also some kind of system glitch.

Your funds are set to be sent to the wrong bank account many people have tried using the track my stimulus tool only to see that funds are to be deposited in an incorrect or closed account.

IRS spokeswoman Jodie Reynolds told the New York Post that if this happens the money should be rejected by banks and returned to the IRS

And if this does happen the payment isn’t going to just sit at the IRS, the IRS will turn around and cut you a paper check.

The silver lining here is that the IRS has announced that the sending of paper checks is ahead of schedule and they will begin being sent out the week of the 20th.

That being me to my next point that you may not have received your stimulus yet simply because you’re set to receive a paper check.

More and more reports are coming in of people stating they needed to add payment information despite filing taxes electronically. A few reasons as to why this may have happened are:
you owed taxes in 2018 or 2019 you may have to add bank information into the “Get My Payment” tool on the IRS website. This is because the IRS likely does not have your proper direct deposit information

If you recently changed bank accounts you will have to update your information in the “Get My Payment” tool. Even if you have changed bank accounts within the last two years it’s recommended to check and ensure your account information is accurate

You haven’t filed a tax return. If you’re not one of the people set to automatically receive the stimulus (someone on SSI or SSDI) you need to file a tax return if you want to be sure to receive payment. The IRS has a non-filers form if that’s the case for you.
Another reason could be if you recently filed a tax return especially if you filed a paper return. Your return could still be getting processed. If this is the case for you all you can do is wait.
Another reason could be if you are on SSI or SSDI your payment probably hasn’t been sent out yet. Those payments are set to begin rolling out the week of the 20th through early May.
