Second Stimulus Check Update June 23rd

There has been non-stop debate on what to do about the next round of stimulus checks. Should it be a monthly re-occurring payment, should it be one time again, should it be paired with other incentives, or should we not have another direct payment whatsoever.

Well we have some updated news that gives us a slightly more clear picture of what to expect next and some of my previous assumptions have been confirmed.

First off, it is being reported that President Trump has told his aides he is in support of sending Americans another round of stimulus checks. Now this in itself doesn’t come as a huge surprise since he has commented publicly on at least 3 occasions that he likes the idea of more stimulus.

This time is a little different for a very important reason because he also reportedly told us why he likes the idea of more checks to the people and his incentives to back it.

Trump reportedly said he likes more stimulus because it will help boost the economy and will help him with reelection in November.

Everyone knows that supporting stimulus payments will help get votes. Polls show that Democratic, Independent, and Republican voters are all in favor of another round of stimulus payments. However it is nice to hear confirmation of our assumptions.

But what I fear this could mean is a delay in a next stimulus payment. If a major concern is to get more votes the natural conclusion would be to get people their stimulus money right before election day, leaving the idea fresh in people’s minds.
