Sea Thistles - A Photographic Essay by Christopher John Ball

A 'still life' series of photographic images that were originally created for a hand made book made in the 1990's. Shot using a Contax 35mm camera, with a Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.7, on Ilford HP5 film. I collected various Sea Thistle heads for this artwork. The background being a piece of wood that I burnt/charred especially for this photographic essay.
