The World Changed. Our Brains Didn’t | Ft. Pankaj Rai

We hoarded food in scarcity. We hoarded information too.

Made sense back then.

But Pankaj Rai points out something uncomfortable - we're still doing it. Just with an unlimited supply.

More food. Obesity. More information. Mental illness. Same old mental model, completely wrong era.

And the scary part is we don't even notice it happening. Every notification, every scroll, every ""just one more article"" - it's the same hoarding instinct. Just dressed up differently.

Pankaj's fix? He lives in JOMO - joy of missing out. Doesn't eat unless he's hungry. Doesn't consume information unless he actually needs it.

Because here's his point - abundance isn't the problem. The problem is we never learned to say no to it. Scarcity did that thinking for us.

Now we have to do it ourselves. And that, as he puts it, is the hard part.
