Wood Panels | Suitable for Oil or Acrylic Paint (CHEAP) - NO TALKING JUST MAKING

This is my process for making cradled wood panels that I oftentimes use for my medium to smaller sized paintings. This video is not intended to be a tutorial however it should be fairly easy to figure out the process. I start by picking up some MDF from my local big box store. You can also use hardi board or the most desired birch plywood (If you can afford it these day's). You will also need some premium pine or poplar to frame out the back of the panel. For a cheaper option you can pick up some 1x2x8 furring strips. These will be a few bucks cheaper but are rarely square or straight so I would steer clear of this option unless you own a planer although sometimes you can get lucky. Lastly you will need some good quality wood glue and gesso to prime the painting surface.
