How can a forensic scientist track a murderer by blood?

A gun and blood are found at the crime scene. An important question for the investigators: Was the victim shot with this weapon? Molecular ballistics can make a decisive contribution to the investigation.

When blood is discovered, a series of tests must be performed. First and foremost, it must be determined whether it came from a human or an animal.
