In July 2007, Colorado Front Range railroads Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific were hopping with coal trains and mixed freights, on the mountainous Joint Line between Denver and Pueblo, over the Palmer Divide. Classic locomotive types included former Burlington Northern SD70MAC diesels, BNSF C44-9W, ES44AC, ES44DC and the occasional SD40-2 or SD60M unit. Union Pacific diesels included SD60M, AC4400CW and unique SD90MAC locomotives in action. Watch also for foreign power from Iowa, Chicago & Eastern, and Mexico's Ferromex railroads, rounding out this spectacular railroad video from a classic era.
