RSM COVID-19 Series | Episode 32: Rehabilitation after the viral infection

Recorded on Tuesday 21 July 2020, as part of the Royal Society of Medicine's COVID-19 Series.

The longer-term consequences of severe COVID-19 infection are only now becoming clear. This episode explores the nature of these consequences, especially for patients who have spent prolonged periods on ITU, and the importance of rehabilitation. RSM President-elect Roger Kirby was joined by our expert panelists Felicity Callard, Professor of Social Research at Birkbeck University of London, and Lynne Turner-Stokes, Director, Regional Rehabilitation Unit at Northwick Park Hospital.

The RSM COVID-19 Series is for health professionals, by health professionals; a series of talks dedicated to give healthcare workers on the frontline, regular and easy-to-access updates from healthcare leaders on COVID-19.
