Shoring Up a Cellar Wall
This video documents the shoring up of the cellar wall of an early 1900s-constructed home using steel, spray foam and quite a bit of creative thinking.
The project began when Sugar Oaks Development, tasked with renovating a section of the house, discovered the house settling. Further investigation revealed the brick cellar wall which held back the earth upon which a supporting pier was resting was bulging and giving way to the weight of the home above.
That is when Sugar Oaks Development contacted HW Welding & Fabrication to provide a solution to buttress the collapsing wall using steel and, as it turned out, Secure Set Spray Foam.
