With the Tangente Clincher Tire, Zipp has teamed up with Vittoria to produce a robust and amazingly aerodynamic racing clincher. Just like the tubular version, the Tangente Clincher Tire features ABLC dimples, which are specifically engineered to promote smooth airflow across the tire's surface—just like a golf ball. This technology has been commonplace on Zipp rims for years, and after 14 months and 2 trips to the wind tunnel, they've made it work on a tire as well.

The 290 TPI casing and "open tubular" construction offer the same supple ride quality as Vittoria's top-of-the-line tubulars. Due to the fact that the dimpled pattern resists cracking so well, they were able to use an exclusive extra-light rubber compound for lower rolling resistance and higher cornering grip in wet and dry conditions.

The Zipp Tangente Clincher is available in 700c x 21mm or 23mm (622-21/23 ISO). Folding bead. All Black. Claimed weight: 205g (700c x 23mm).

Note: This clincher tire is somewhat confusingly labeled as an "Open Tubular." It fits standard clincher rims.
