Crocodile Rescue - Mbuluzi Game Reserve Swaziland

These are some select moments from my first ever crocodile (crocodylus niloticus) rescue. The animal was trapped in an irrigation canal that was being drained for maintenance.
It was rescued and released into Mbuluzi Game Reserve in Swaziland. It did end up with a couple of very minor scratches but other than that seemed fine on release.
I am sure that there will be plenty criticism of my techniques but this was my first crocodile rescue call out and there wasn’t time to go digging through Youtube for some old Steve Erwin videos.
Not everything went all that smoothly and it took a few failed attempts to subdue it. This video basically shows only the success!
There were some close moments but I don’t feel I took any too serious risks.
Thank you to the staff at Tambankulu Estates for not harming the animal and rather assisting to capture and relocate it.
A huge thanks to my wife Genene for all her help, allowing me to attempt this rescue (not many wives would) and being with me to share the moment of release. Sorry about all the stress.
