HIGH NOON cowboy theme by Valentino - King Of The Music

The two most important numbers for any entertainer is their opening and closing numbers. When I go on stage these are the only two numbers I have planned. What I play in between depends entirely on my audience that evening. One night the audience might enjoy pop music, or they could be classical music lovers. No two nights or performances are ever the same. It helps having a repertoire of many hundreds of numbers. But the opening number is by far the most important. You have just a couple of minutes to impress your audience. If you do that and win them over the rest is easy. Apart from when "Telstar" was in the hit parade many years ago when I used it as my opening number, I've always opened my show with a cowboy tune or medley. High Noon was a firm favorite of mine and was always a sure fire hit with my audiences no matter where in the world I was performing. It made a huge impression on me when I first saw the film High Noon starring Gary Cooper. It's the perfect tune for me to show off the full orchestral sounds on my Elkavox electric accordion especially with my surround sound theatre system. I've played several different arrangements over the years but hope you enjoy my latest version and interpretation of this great melody. Valentino.
