Fitting & Converting F Plug to Coax Plug

Tools and Materials Needed:
F plug
Coax plug (for TV or other coaxial connections)
Cutting tool or cable stripper

Step-by-Step Process
1. Prepare the Coaxial Cable
Cut the Cable:
Use the cutting tool to create a clean, straight edge at the end of the cable.

Strip the Cable:

Use a coaxial cable stripper to remove about 15mm (0.6 inches) of the outer jacket.
Fold back the exposed braid (shielding) neatly over the outer jacket.
Remove about 5mm (0.2 inches) of the dielectric (white foam insulation) to expose the copper core.
2. Attach the F Plug
Insert the Cable into the F Plug:
Push the prepared cable into the F plug until the copper core sticks out of the tip and the shielding is securely in contact with the inside of the plug.

Secure the F Plug:
If you're using a screw-on F plug:

Twist the F plug onto the cable tightly until it’s secure.
3. Convert F Plug to Coax Plug
Choose the Right Coax Plug:
Select a coax plug compatible with your device or connection (e.g., IEC coax plug for TV aerials).

Attach the Coax Plug to the F Plug:

If using an F-to-Coax adapter, simply screw the F plug into the adapter, which converts it into a coax plug.
If replacing the F plug entirely with a coax plug:
Remove the F plug by unscrewing or cutting it off.
Insert the prepared cable into the coax plug (the copper core should extend into the center pin, and the braid should contact the outer metal casing).
Tighten any screws or clamps on the coax plug to hold the cable securely.
4. Test the Connection
Plug the coaxial end into the TV or device and ensure it fits securely.
Check for a signal to verify the connection is working.

Double-check measurements: Ensure the cable is stripped properly to avoid short circuits between the braid and the copper core.
Use high-quality connectors: Cheap plugs might not provide a strong signal or could loosen over time.
Secure the connection: Ensure all connectors are snug to prevent signal loss
