Under a cloudless blue sky, a 83.86 km task with three turn points in a triangle south west of launch was set.

The leaders changed constantly as the gaggle sped round the course making it all look rather easy. However, just as the caipirinhas were being poured in the goal field in anticipation of the arrival of 102 thirsty pilots, the last, into wind leg and weak thermals dominated by the prevailing wind, made today the ultimate impossible task.

Marcelo Prieto got the furthest round the course, landing 4.7 km short of End of Speed. With a lead out point advantage, Chigwon Won won the day. "
