"Today (Tuesday 5th), there was once again a perfect, blue, cloudless sky with a slight northerly wind. An 87.4 km task downwind was set with two turn points.

Launch was a bit tricky with pilots taking off all round the hill top from the numerous launches. At one point every launch, all 360 degrees, was back winded!

The climbs were higher than on previous days but a bit slower with a maximum of about 5m/s.

From turn point two, hither to unknown South Korean pilot Kim Hyeong Joo stormed ahead winning the day by more than six minutes.

Today saw lots of new pilots in goal early and will have radically changed the overall scores. Out of the top fifteen today, only four were in the top fifteen overall this morning. After three tasks, this competition is still anyone’s to win.

In summary, a fairly straightforward day, which saw 87 out of 101 pilots in goal."
