Railfanning on the BNSF at Greenwood, NE

A friend (Rick AKA-Zoohogger) and I spent a wonderful fall evening railfanning at Greenwood Neb on the BNSF Creston Sub. In a period of 2 hours we saw everything from coal to mixed freight plus a rare sighting of a CN (ICC) heading West on the BN Line.

I was testing a set of EC-7 mics on my Canon Vixia HF200. The first 2 passes were recorded with the on-board mics and the last several passes were recorded with the EC-7's at various settings.

Still trying to decide whether or not to invest in a external set of mics for the Canon. The EC-7 definitely offer a greater separation but the on-board mics do an incredible job with the SPL in the default setup mode with little distortion!
