This audio edition examines the measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes in non-profit organisations and the analytical frameworks used to assess training effectiveness, accountability, and mission alignment.

The article analyses widely used evaluation models including Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation and Phillips’s Return on Investment (ROI), alongside complementary approaches such as performance metrics, qualitative feedback, and regression-based analysis. It explains how systematic evaluation frameworks support evidence-informed learning programmes and strengthen organisational capacity.

The study also examines real-world applications through case studies from Africa, Asia, and Latin America, demonstrating how combined quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods enhance both accountability and institutional learning in diverse operational contexts.

By integrating evaluation theory with practical program management, the publication provides a structured analytical perspective on how non-profit organisations can continuously refine training initiatives, optimise limited resources, and strengthen long-term social impact.
