U.S. Chabahar Waiver Ends as India Rushes Talks With Iran Amid Rising West Asia Crisis

India is facing renewed uncertainty over the future of Chabahar Port after the US sanctions waiver allowing Indian operations at the Iranian port expired on April 26. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that the matter is currently under discussion with both Iran and the United States, while also acknowledging that the ongoing West Asia conflict has made the situation more complex. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India remains actively engaged with all concerned parties.
