Abandoned Touro Shakespeare Nursing home DESTORYED BY HURRICANE KATRINA New Orleans, Louisiana

Touro Shakespeare started out as a almshouse in the the poor in the 1800's by Judah Touro who was a merchant who moved to New Orleans and made a large fortune through
shipping and real estate. Almshouse burned down in in the late 1800's. Later the new Touro Shakespeare was moved to the west bank in New Orleans, thanks to Mayor joseph Shakespeare.
