Royal Albatross ~ Morning Wing Stretches! TFT Shows Some Leg 😂 BOK Clacks At TF Again! 5.13.24

The boys wake up and do their morning wing stretches to start the day ♥ Then we see some closeups on TFT showing some leg & his paddle 😂 Very nice!!! TFT then paddles over away from his nest and spreads his wings looking at the ocean! Not yet TFT but one day soon! This might be the spot that TFT fledges from and a popular take off spot for BOK!

Speaking of BOK, she arrives in for a feeding and you know who is off his nest right there to greet her! TF is wheeing and she quickly clacks at him & causes him to duck his head again. He does not retreat which is an interesting thing to watch - BOK sits down for a minute and he is right there close by. TFT is wheeing on his nest and BOK gets up to go to her chick, TF is cautious and slowly keeps his distance and walks back to his nest. Smart boy! Sharyn Broni mentioned that some of the parents (not all) see other chicks as competition to their own chick and they are not friendly towards them. We have had other parents that act like this - LK from Quarry nest and GLG from SStrig nest.

BOK gives TFT a nice feeding and some good mouthfuls and then she is off to forage again. Be sure to watch her beautiful departure over the sea - our cam op follows her! Thank you for watching!
