‘Terrorist Threat’: Moscow Blasts Poland Over Warning to Intercept Putin’s Jet | APT

Russia has launched a sharp diplomatic attack on Poland, accusing Warsaw of threatening “terrorist acts” against President Vladimir Putin’s aircraft ahead of his planned peace summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in Budapest.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov condemned recent remarks by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, who warned that Poland “cannot guarantee” Putin’s jet would not be intercepted if it entered Polish airspace — citing the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant against Putin over alleged war crimes in Ukraine.

Lavrov fired back, calling the statement “an open threat of terrorism” and an attempt to sabotage Trump’s proposed peace talks with Moscow. The Kremlin said the warning proves NATO’s “direct hostility” toward Russia.
Poland insists it would act lawfully if ordered by its courts, while Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has vowed safe passage for the Russian leader. The diplomatic standoff highlights deepening divisions within Europe as Putin seeks to attend the Budapest summit amid an EU airspace ban on Russian aircraft.

This latest crisis follows September’s drone incident, when dozens of Russian drones violated Polish airspace, prompting NATO’s first direct engagement with Russian assets and escalating regional tensions.
Watch the full video for key statements and to know what this confrontation means for Trump’s planned Russia–U.S. summit and the future of the Ukraine peace process.
