🔳 The Solomon Kane Movie 2009.

The Character was created by Texan Pulp Author Robert E. Howard, who was born in 🟥 January 1906 and died in June 1936.
Kane made his first appearence in 🔴🟡 Wierd Tales Magzine in 1928, in a Story called Red Shadows.

Howard also created the legendary Character
🗡 Conan, the Barbarian.
That muscular specimen first appeared in a short story called the 'Pheonix and the Sword' published in 1932.

The character appeared on the big screen in the september 2009 film of the same name, which was 🎬 directed by Michael J. Basset.
They also spearheaded the film 🏚 Silent Hill Revelations, which was released in the year 2012.

In the Kane is a reformed 🏴‍☠️ privateer, who swears a vow of pacifism after his bad reeevers are Murdered by demonic forces.
In the 2009 film our tormented hero is played
⭐️ James Purefoy.
This english actor's big came 2005 historical drama Rome,
He then went on to play a serial killer in the crime drama The Following that came out in 2013.
Then in 2018 pure foy appeared the scifi series Altered Carbon.

As a response to the supernatural events he witnessed the repentant Kane flees to a ⛪️Monastery, but is expelled because portentious vision the priory's Abbot, played by 🎭 Robert Russel had.

While on the road Kane is attacked by Maurading bandits, then left for dead.
By happenstance, Kane is nursed back to health by members of the 🔳 Puritanical Crowthorn family, who are a puritating family; are they are travelling to the new world.

While on their Journey Solomon and Crowthorns encounter a witch, who marks the the families young daughter 👱‍♀️Meridith.
The character was played ⭐️Rachel Hurd-Wood.

Later the Crowthorns are attacked by the followers of a local sorcerer, named ✨️Malachi, who is played by ⭐️Jason Flemyng; this sinister cadre kidnap Meredith. During this violent altrication the most of Crowthorns are viciously killed.

This Prompts Kane, our reluctant to resume his violent ways, in the process imperiling his own soul, to rescue 🟡 Meredith from the clutches of Malachay and his corrupt minions.

In the 🟤 countryside Kane encounters a corrupted 🔳 priest , who explains that Malachay corrupts the stronger soul he encounters, so that they become his dark soldiers.

After Kane leaves the domain of the mad priest Kane again encounters the Robbers who attacked the Crowthon family and kidnapped Meredith.
Kane kills two of three Robbers, and interrogates the last remaining member of the villainous trio.
The third nefarious man says that Merideth has been killed, though this info is inherently suspect given its source.

Beset by sense of failliure Kane goes to drown his sorrow at a local inn; coincidentally he is recognised by some of his former shipmates.
They try to recruit him to lead a resistence against Malachy, but in his dejected state Kane declines.

The tarven is then attacked by Malachys men and the Arch villain's Liutenant, 🦹‍♂️the Masked Rider, and Kane and the resstence members are tied to wooden gibets and hoisted into the air.
From this painful vantage point Kane sees Meredith, the girl he thought had been killed, trapped in a cage and crying for her family and him.

Kane and the resistence recruiters are then rescued by the remainder of the freedom fighters.

our swashbuckling protagonist is healed by a 🧙‍♀️ wisewoman working with the resistence and it is from her we learn that Malachy is operating out the estate and 🏘Mannor house were Kane had been born and was exillied from when he was in his early teens, after an altrication with his younger brother Marcus, that left the younger boy
😴 comatose.

In the movie's third act Kane enters his sprawling ancestral manse through a hidden, possibly sewage, tunnel.
Here he discovers his aged father 🎭 Josiah, played by ⭐️Max Von Sydow chained in a dungeon like basement 😮.

From the ruined patriarch we learn Kane's father Josiah that he hired Malachay to save Marcus. However, in order to effect this 🟣 Dark Miracle Malachy made a literal deal with the devil.
As a result of this demonic bargain Marcus became Malachy's henchman.

In the finale Solomon dispatches his 🧟‍♂️ undead brother and sends Malachy and a demon the sorcerer summoned back through a portal to
🔥hell.

Kane then returns Merideth to the last surviving Crowthorn, her mother.

Kane then buries his 😥 dead and embark on his continuing quest irradicate evil, wherever he finds it.

🔵 Sadly, the film was a box office failiure because it cost 🟢 £40 dollars but only made 22 million dollars at the 🌏 worldwide box office.
