How Did the USSR Prepare for a German Attack in 1941? - A History of the Red Army (1922 – 1941)
Germany launched Operation Barbarossa in 22 June 1941. They made rapid advance into the Soviet Union. Stalin did not believe a German attack would take place. So the Soviets did not prepare for a possible German attack at all? Or did they? And if so: how did the USSR prepare for a German attack in 1941? In this video I will talk about Deep Operations, Voroshilov, Tukhachevsky, Stalin's Purges, Soviet tanks and military tactics.
