Colonel Bogey (Alford) - Fiedler, Boston Pops

Kenneth J. Alford, pen name of Frederick Joseph Ricketts (1881-1945), was a British military bandmaster, and esteemed composer of marches. In 1916 he wrote "Colonel Bogey", which became popular and was sung by soldiers stationed in India. The tune was revived during World War II, and was given immense popularity through the 1957 film "The Bridge on the River Kwai", which won 7 Academy Awards. The march played a prominent role in that film. (Wikipedia; album notes)

Straight from the 1971 vinyl. For entertainment purposes only--I own nothing here.
