Turkish March (Beethoven) - Fiedler, Boston Pops
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) wrote an Overture and Incidental Music in 1811 to a play called "The Ruins of Athens" by August von Kotzebue, and performed in 1812. However, the theme was first used in Beethoven's "6 Variations on an Original Theme", Op. 76, of 1809. It was written in the Turkish style, which was popular in music of the time. (Wikipedia)
