Editing GoPro Hero9 Black H.265 5K Video Footage In Edius X By Grass Valley

Just a look at Edius X by Grass Valley editing some 5K H.265 video footage from a GoPro Hero9 Black.

This is one example of how to edit GoPro Hero9 Black 5K video footage.

The Edius X project settings for this example are 5120x2880 10 Bit. This matches the resolution of the GoPro Hero9 Black video footage at 5K. Although the GoPro Hero9 Black video footage is only 8 Bit with a chroma subsampling of 4:2:0 The Edius X project is set to 10 Bit and is 4:2:2 with regard its chroma subsampling.

In this example, both the source footage from the Hero9 and the Edius timeline are set to 29.97FPS, this is the highest frame rate that can be achieved with the GoPro Hero9 Black in 5K resolution.
