Can you instal Final Cut Pro for iPad on a MacBook Pro M1 Max

In this video I'm seeing if it’s possible to Instal Final Cut Pro for iPad on a MacBook Pro M1 Max.

Because all the Apple Silicon Macs are using the same ARM processor architecture with the M1 and M2 chips, these are basically the same as the A series chips in iPhones and iPads and obviously the same M1 and M2 processor in the M1 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Pro.

Part of the move from Intel X86 CPUs with Mac to Apple Silicon ARM CPUs was the ability to share apps from iOS and iPadOS from iPhone and iPad. So this is why I thought it would be worth trying to install the Final Cut Pro iPad app on my Mac.

As it wasn't available for download to my MacBook from the Apple App Store, I copied the IPA installer file for Final Cut Pro for iPad using iMazing. Once copied to my MacBook it's just a simple case of installing the IPA installer file, if it were going to work.

On the first attempt it did not install. However, the install message said that all I had to do was to update MacOS to the latest version, in my case Ventura. This would then supposedly allow the install of the Final Cut Pro app for iPad to my Mac, as the message clearly said.

Once updated to the latest MacOS I still couldn't see the Final Cut Pro for iPad app on the App Store using my MacBook Pro, so decided to try and install the IPA file again. Unfortunately, this time I got the dreaded message, unable to install "Final Cut Pro" This application cannot be installed because the developer did not intend for it to run on this platform.

So, the bottom line is you can't install Final Cut Pro for iPad on any Mac computer, even ones that have Apple Silicon M1 and M2 chips.
