Das Video zeigt den letzten Flug der MD80 (McDonnell-Douglas DC9 Super 80) im Dienst von Austrian Airlines im Rahmen der Abschiedsveranstaltung am Flughafen Wien. Viele Ehrengäste mit sehr persönlichen Erinnerungen und Anekdoten, ein Formationsflug mit F5-Abfangjägern des österreichischen Bundesheeres und ein "nasser Empfang" durch die Flughafenfeuerwehr bilden einen bunten Abschluss hinter der Erfolgsgeschichte dieses Flugzeugtyps in Österreich.

Auch ich hatte das Vergnügen, sieben Jahre lang das damals hochmoderne Flugzeug zu steuern.
