Trailblazer cabin air filters 6 year update - Did they do anything? (Yes)

Every now and then I get a whiff of cigarettes in my 2003 Trailblazer. I haven't smoked in it in almost a year, and have done everything short of an exorcism to the interior to get the smell out. One day I realized that I've had the same cabin air filters in there since that video back in 2011. So you, me, and the world get to see if those cabin air filters actually did anything. Spoiler alert, they did.

Q: My Trailblazer doesn't have that door. Why did you lie to me?
A: It was clearly stated that only the 2002 and 2003 trucks have the door.

Q: Can I add cabin air filters if I don't have the door?
A: Yes. You will need to find a door and also cut a hole in the HVAC box. Search on gmtnation or the other trailblazer site for more information on modifying a later year Trailblazer to add cabin filters.

Q: Where can I find a door?
A: Salvage yards are your best bet. Look in 2002-2003 era Silverados as well. They also have them. The doors rarely pop up on ebay and there usually isn't enough interest for an independent vendor to produce them.

Q: Did the filters make less air come out?
A: I didn't notice any change.
