Filter cleaning for your Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer Professional edition.

If your Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer starts cutting off during use, red or white lights begin flashing, or it becomes overheated, these could be signs that your filter needs cleaning.

To maintain optimum performance, your Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer filter needs to be cleaned once a month as shown in our video guide.

Professional stylist, Elly, takes you through simple steps to clean your filter:

Debris should be wiped from the outer filter cage and from the inner filter mesh using a soft, dry cloth.

For stubborn debris, the filter mesh should be brushed using a new or lightly used clean dry toothbrush.

Step 1. If your appliance continues to experience issues, wipe the filter mesh with a warm damp cloth or wet wipe, then leave the appliance to sit for around 5 minutes.
Step 2. Brush the entire inner filter mesh firmly for 1-2 minutes, ensuring all moisture is removed before proceeding.
Step 3.Finally wipe the filter mesh using a dry, lint-free cloth. Rotate the filter cage back into position, then switch the appliance on and allow to run for 1 minute. The appliance should work as normal.

Always switch off and unplug your appliance before carrying out any maintenance. If it's been in use, allow it to cool down completely.
