Frustrated in the Philippines. Not a good day in El Nido. Foreigners on Lockdown in Palawan.

We’re currently stranded in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines during the Coronavirus pandemic and we’ve been capturing our time here.

New rules came into place on June 1, and El Nido went into a Modified General Quarantine which means a lot of things are permitted to open including restaurants for dine in (at half capacity) and some beaches.

We make our way to Lio Beach, a popular area in El Nido only to find out that everything there is unfortunately still completely closed. Being totally disappointed that we don’t get a beach day, we head back into El Nido town.

Here we have some delicious lunch at a place called The Hub and then head over to craft beer place called Boodmo. We also tell you about the troubles we’ve been having trying to find flights back home to Canada, our main problem is trying to get off the island of Palawan to get to Manila.
