Eating Outside in Canadian Winter. This is in Halifax? Nova Scotia Food is Insane! 😋

We've found the perfect way to dine during the Covid-19 Pandemic, outside in the winter yet still able to stay warm! Many restaurants have come up with unique ways to dine while staying socially distanced and outdoors.

Here in Halifax, a well known restaurant called the Bicycle Thief has created, three "cabinas", or small outdoor dining cabins. They hold four people and are heated. This allows you to eat outside in Canadian winter!

We came for lunch one day and had a huge Italian + Canadian food feast! To start we had scallops and soup, followed by Atlantic Salmon and pumpkin ravioli. To finish we had the most decadent dessert you can imagine, a layered butterscotch caramel cake. The whole meal was incredible!

Unfortunately the cabinas are booked in the evenings for the rest of the season, but if you want to get in, call ahead to ask about cancellations. Lunch, however is first come first serve and goes until 4 pm.
