Sonny Bono, the 1960s pop star who became a US Congressman and the mayor of one of America's wealthiest cities, was buried on Friday (9/1) in California. Bono, 62, died on Monday in a skiing accident. He hit a tree at the Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe, which straddles the California-Nevada border. Bono's latest wife and his children, as well as former wife Cher and representatives from Washington, attended the funeral in Palm Springs, California, where Bono was a former mayor.
