ED Raids Karnataka Congress MLA N A Haris' Son For Crypto Money Laundering

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at multiple locations linked to the sons of Karnataka Congress MLA N.A. Haris, Mohammed Haris Nalapad, and Omar Farook Nalapad, in connection with a major crypto-related money laundering case. The searches, carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, are linked to an alleged hacking syndicate led by Srikrishna Ramesh (alias Sriki), who reportedly stole bitcoins by hacking national and international websites since 2017. The Nalapad brothers are accused of being beneficiaries of the proceeds from this illegal crypto operation. The raids have caused a major political stir in Karnataka, with the Congress party facing fresh scrutiny. The ED is expected to continue its investigation into the money trail and possible laundering networks.
