'Frustration' from farmers about 'policies' put into place surrounding agriculture
National Farmer’s Federation Chair David Jochinke discusses the “frustrating” policies put into place surrounding agriculture.
The National Farmer’s Federation has claimed they no longer have confidence in the government to represent their interests.
This follows the government's decision to ban live sheep exports from 2028.
“For us, it started a long time ago when we look at the policies that the current government has been putting into place surrounding agriculture and how they’ve been consulting us,” Mr Jochinke told Sky News Business Editor Ed Boyd.
“In farmer land, there is a lot of frustration out there.
“There is a lot of angst about how they’re being consulted, how farmers are not being listened to when policies are being developed.”
