PM raises ‘clumsy’ and ‘ham-fisted’ treatment of Cheng Lei with the Chinese Embassy
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has raised the treatment of Sky News journalist Cheng Lei with the Chinese Embassy.
Cheng Lei was blocked from the view of cameras by Chinese officials at a media event between Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The Prime Minister has called the Chinese official’s attempt to block Cheng Lei "clumsy" and "ham-fisted" but did not elaborate on how the concern was raised to the Chinese Embassy.
