The fingers are not independent!
To play guitar at a high speed and to have clear and smooth sound you need a lot of elements : the right hand technique, the left hand technique, synchronization in between 2 hands, stamina, flexibility...
But also it is very essential to practice the independency of the fingers.
In this video I am sharing with you the exercise for the independence of left hand fingers.
