'The Shakespeare Express' With 4965 Rood Ashton Hall-(30/06/2013):

The first day of the operating season for the Vintage Trains Ltd 'Shakespeare Express' was hauled by our Tyseley Steam Trust favorite 4965.
I decided to forsake the countryside for the City & here we see the return working (1T51) of the first run of the day arriving & departing Birmingham Moor Street after a lengthy stop on it's way under the City Center to terminate at Snow Hill station.
4965 then reappears in order to run round the stock for it's second round trip to Stratford & is then seen running tender first back into Moor Street & departing for Tyseley & the North Warwick line (1T52).
For practical reasons I reverted to hand held filming & even surprised myself throughout the long station stop which has only been marginally reduced during editing. Feel free to FF if you are likely to be bored by a stationary Loco.
During editing I saw a funny side to the 'antics' of 4965 so please forgive me for the added captions which I simply could not resist!! :-)

Nice to meet up with 'tnxrail' again & I think we appear in each others shots!!
