Este es un cover de la canción de Joni Mitchell realizado en la BBC Radio 2 el 14 de febrero del 2020, la canción habla acerca del daño que le estamos causando al medio ambiente.

En una entrevista con Los Angeles Times, Joni Mitchell dijo: Escribí “Big Yellow Taxi” en mi primer viaje a Hawái. Tomé un taxi hasta el hotel y cuando me desperté a la mañana siguiente, corrí las cortinas y vi estas hermosas montañas verdes en la distancia. Luego, miré hacia abajo y había un estacionamiento hasta donde alcanzaba la vista, y me rompió el corazón, esta plaga en el paraíso. Fue entonces cuando me senté y escribí la canción. Cuando salió a la luz, fue un éxito regional en Hawái porque la gente de allí se dio cuenta de que estaban masticando su paraíso.

*DDT fue un insecticida prohibido debido a que esta sustancia se estaba acumulando en el ambiente y dañando a la vida silvestre.
